How to Create a Monthly Content Strategy for Social Media

If you want to attract your ideal clients on Social Media, you want to have a content strategy. It’s important to know who your audience is, what type of topics they’re interested in and where to find your potential clients.

Here are some tips to create your content strategy to attract your next client. I suggest writing this down either in a planner or notebook that you can refer to during the month.

1) Get clear on your niche. What type of clients are you looking for? If you’re just starting your business, you may not be 100% sure of who you want to work with yet and that’s ok! If that’s your case, think about the services you want to provide your clients and write those down.

2) What type of problems does your service solve? For example, if you specialize in email marketing, one of the problems you may solve is helping your clients save time by automating emails and creating email templates.

3) Write down 4 to 5 types of content topics you want to talk about for the month. The topics you choose should be focused on your ideal client’s problem. For example, if you specialize in email marketing, two of your content topics could be: 1) how to write effective emails and 2) how to create email automations to save more time in your business.

4) Don’t forget adding a CTA (call to action) on every post and story. It can be as simple as sending you a message. You need to tell your audience what to do next.

5) At the end of every month check your insights or analytics to see which posts received the most engagement. These top engaged posts will tell you what is resonating with your audience and what they want to hear from you.
