5 Mistakes to Avoid when Promoting your Service-Based Business on Instagram
The common questions I get from clients are why their Instagram engagement is low and why aren’t they finding any clients? Promoting your business on Instagram involves more than just posting everyday and promoting your services. It also involves knowing your audience, creating content based on their pain points and making sure your bio is optimized.
Here are 5 mistakes you may be making on Instagram:
1) Having an incomplete bio. When your potential clients come across your Instagram page, they should know who you are and what your business is about. Try to keep it as simple as you can. You also want to include a call-to-action. This is a link taking your potential clients to your website or a sales page.
2) Not responding to comments. If you’re going to use social media to grow your business, you must be social. Responding to comments is key to growing your brand.
3) Posting Low Quality Photos. People want to see high quality images that are appealing to the eye. Posting low quality photos looks unprofessional. Use photo editing apps to brighten and enhance your photos.
4) Not posting regularly. Posting regularly doesn’t necessarily mean posting every day but find a schedule that works for you and stick to it.
5) Buying followers. Having a lot of followers can be great, but usually buying followers means low engagement. When you buy followers, you are purchasing accounts that may not be interested in your business. Instead, you should focus on building a following that will benefit from your service.
